First Bee Day Party

A first bee day bash can create quite the buzz. The event, of course, is more for the family and friends than the actual birthday babe, but the theme should still be childish whimsy. What better than a First Bee Day? The options are endless with bees, honey, flowers, and balloons. Happy gathering!

First Birthday Invitations

Always send out the invitations. Also, be sure to send them out timely. These First Bee Day invitations were simple to edit from Etsy and print at Walgreens. The invitations were ready in a couple of hours, and in the mail the following day. Additionally, this printable came with signs, treat tags, banners, and a time capsule.

Food Table

The menu for our Bee Day party was Bar-Bee-Q pork sandwiches on honey buns with mac & bees. We made an Italian salad and had apple sauce for the kids. The tablecloths matched perfectly with the theme. For every event with balloons, we end up getting the largest helium tank. Helium is probably unnecessary with the popularity of balloon arches, but we had to have flying bees!

First Bee Day Dessert Table

Guests loved the Honeycomb Trail Mix (click here for the recipe) which was also part of the favors. A beehive Croquembouche along with vanilla cake for the guests, beehive smash cake, and chocolate and vanilla cake pops all on an artificial grass table runner completed the look for the dessert table.

Big Kid Table

Personalized coloring placemats and a special place to sit is always a success for the older children.

Chair of Honor

The birthday girl was on display and performed like a champ. Note: when you pop confetti balloons, they make a mess!

Time Capsule

The birthday child will not remember this day, but how special will it be when he or she turns 18 and can read messages from the guests! These little snapshots in time will create a treasured keepsake. The time capsule completed our celebration.

Treats and Bee Day Favors

For the party favors, we included Honeycomb Trail Mix inside yellow popcorn boxes along with wrapped chocolate bars and honey. The favor table was front and center, so no one forgot to grab one.
