“Nothing annoys people so much as not receiving invitations.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Importance of Being Earnest
For many, it does not matter how they receive an invitation. We can text, call, or e-mail a well-designed image that does the trick. In a pinch, these are great ways to notify friends and family of your soiree. Yet, there is something so rewarding about receiving an invitation in your mailbox. A paper invitation gives the recipient permanence, unlike the quick glance at the phone.

I used this beautiful pattern from Minted for my daughter’s Baptism this year, and I could not have been happier. Granted, digital invitations are cheaper, easier, and more convenient than their paper counterparts, but they cannot be this lovely. Some family members even kept these invitations as a memento. One always goes into the keepsake box.

The bandana invitations for our I DO BBQ rehearsal dinner were the most time-consuming, but they were such fun. I purchased 50 bandanas and took them to a screen printer. I folded them into 5×7 envelopes to keep them as flat as possible for the post office. The guests were thrilled, and all dressed up in appropriate attire. Some even wore these invitations!
Create and Mail in a Day

My most recent purchases have had sellers utilize Templett or Corjl to create fun invitations and printable suites for your events. This particular method is not only fast, but economical.
You Made it to the Refrigerator!
You can’t put a digital invite or text on the refrigerator. If you send out a unique invitation, more than likely your event is not getting forgotten. When your friends and family open the refrigerator, they will see your invitation and look forward to your event.
