Gather. A lesson learned from my parents was to celebrate all of life’s big and little events. Almost anything can turn into a reason to gather, whether it be a life-changing milestone or just a lazy Sunday. We are social beings, and though it is easier to just text or message, it is so much more fulfilling to look each other in the eyes. Gathering is the first step, but there is an art to making the event memorable. For a brief time, you can create an environment where your guests are transported, able to escape, and only take out their phones to use as cameras so they can remember this experience you have fashioned.
